About 25 scouts will be participating in this huge Camporee, as 12 scout groups all over from the North region have registered. 10 Officials and 6 Parents will be accompanying them to help throughout the difficult tasks of the Camporee.
N. Velidhoo residents and scouts are trying their best to make this camporee, one of the best camporees of all time. Their newly reclaimed land has been given the authorization by their Island Council to conduct this important Camporee. The main aim of the Camporee is to improve the skills of the scouts of North region and of course, socialization of the scouts.
The picture shows scouts of Lh.A.E.C getting ready for the Camporee. Right now they are making pieces of coconut palm, which will make up their tent. The preparations for making a raft is already done, and the preparations of Camp Fire is still going on. They need to finish these preparations before 16th March, Friday, as they depart to N. Velidhoo on 17th March, Saturday, one day before the starting of the Camporee. I wish all the best to the crew of SLSG! Do your best, my friends.. :)
